Junior

Applicants 16 and under on February 1st qualify for junior membership, junior membership must have an associated Senior membership

Student

Student card must be provided and must be valid at February 1st of the year of application or renewal

Senior

Default membership if applicant doesn't qualify for any other category.

Disabled

Applicants in possession of a valid European disabled car parking permit, or a medical certificate for a disability which significantly impacts their ability to used the full amenities of the lake

OAP

Members 65 or over on February 1st of the year of application. Evidence of age will need to be produced for 1st OAP application

Terms of membership application

Application in no way guarantees an offer of membership.

Membership shall be dependent on the member joining the NARGC INSURANCE SCHEME either through The club or other club affiliated to the aforementioned scheme regardless of any other insurance they may have.

This application and the personal details therein will be stored securely by the Committee of the club until such time as an offer of membership is made or is declined. If the application is unsuccessful, then the application will be destroyed; however, the email address may be retained for purposes of correspondence. If the application is successful, then the data will continue to be stored to enable the application to be processed.

Membership applications should be vouched by one or more club members, or should provide reference from another angling club with permission to contact them to check the reference.

The Committee will not enter into any discussion with any party in regard to a declined membership application.

The Club and Committee are not responsible for any information incorrectly entered on this form.

The club year runs from February 1st to January 31st (1st May - 30th April).

Cost of registration is set each year and may vary from year to year. The costs below are indicative only and may change by the time a membership offer is made.

1st year Joining fee* of €150, plus:
Senior: €180 per annum thereafter
Junior: €50 per annum (€20)
Student: €100 per annum
OAP: €130 per annum
Disabled: €100 per annum

* 1st year joining fee does not apply to Junior members or to members transitioning from junior to senior membership. This information is correct at the time of publication but is subject to change.

Age refers to age at 1st February 2023 - the year for which the application is being made (1st May).

Typically, offers of new membership are made from the beginning of April (May). When an offer is made, the applicant will be forwarded a membership form which will need to be returned complete along with the required registration fee, whereupon membership will be activated.

Unsuccessful applications will not be retained; an applicant wishing to re-apply will need to fill in a new form for the following year.

This form is automatically stored in our membership application database; there is no need to make any further representation. We are happy to answer queries, but canvassing and pressure for places is not necessary or welcome.

NARGC Insurance Scheme Fees

This section outlines the categories of fees charged by the Fund. The operative date for age calculation is the first day in each period of cover, i.e., August 1st for the concerned year. So, at the time of writing, the following fees apply:

€65 (From €50) for adults, over 19 and under 70 years.
€35 (From €25) for persons under the age of 19 or over the age of 70 years.
€15 (No increase) for anyone under 14.

These fees include a €5.00 admin fee to DRGC.

If you have NARGC cover already with another club, you can send a copy of your card with your application.
